早前12月14號(星期六)，一眾和融基金音樂導師及學員於西九文化區舉行一場精彩萬分的音樂表演!
On December 14th (Saturday), a group of music instructors and students from the The Wo Yung Society Foundation, held an amazing music performance at the West Kowloon Cultural District! The event featured performances by the students, and it is believed that the audience enjoyed a spectacular and talented show! This event brought everyone a warm and unforgettable evening just before Christmas!
第二屆兒童青少年繪畫比賽 The 2nd Children and Youth Painting Competition
由亞洲文化藝術辦事處及和融社會基金舉辦的 第二屆兒童青少年繪畫比賽開始接受報名啦!
這次評審陣容強勁，多謝立法會議員姚柏良先生MH JP、和融社會基金進席Andrew、知名插畫師許日東先生及兒童遊戲治療師及和諧粉彩導師Emily Ng
由即日起至2024年12月20日截止，比賽開放給各位兒童及青少年參加
繪畫主題 「夢想多元香港」包括多元種族、宗教和性別平等等，作品將由我們的評審團評審出來，得獎者將有機會出席2025年1月11日的頒獎典禮！
The 2nd Children and Youth Painting Competition, organized by the Asian Cultural Arts Office and the Wo Yung Society Foundation, is now open for registration!
This year’s judging panel is impressive, featuring Mr. Yiu Pak Leung, MH JP, Legislative Council member; Andrew from the Harmonious Social Foundation; renowned illustrator Mr. Hsu Yi Tung; and children’s play therapist and Harmonious Pastel instructor Emily Ng.
The competition is open to all children and youth from now until December 20, 2024.
The theme for the paintings is “Dreaming of a Diverse Hong Kong,” which includes elements of multiculturalism, religion, and gender equality. The works will be evaluated by our judging panel, and winners will have the opportunity to attend the award ceremony on January 11, 2025!
人際溝通課程 Interpersonal communication course
籌備為各位特別需要人士準備進入職場的人際溝通課程，已經進行得如火如荼，原來大家在職場上面都有不同嘅的睇法，大家熱烈地上堂
We are actively preparing an interpersonal communication course for individuals with special needs who are entering the workforce. The sessions are in full swing, and it turns out that everyone has different perspectives on the workplace. The participants are engaged and enthusiastic in class!

重修道路義工服務 Restore the pathway
1/7 公眾假期 不知大家有甚麼做呢？近日連日大雨沖毀了不少山區道路，和融社會基金就聯同二澳農作社，一班義工一起修復通往連島沙洲的通道，令大家有一條更加安全的出入通道。
二澳農作社是一間致力向社區推廣復耕計劃、環保生態活動的合作社註冊公司，一直為擁有200多年歷史的二澳村提供復耕工作。希望大家都可以多留意本土保育工作，努力做好香港保育。

On January 7th, a public holiday, what are everyone’s plans? Recently, continuous heavy rain has damaged many mountain roads. The Wo Yung Society Foundation , in collaboration with the Yi Au Agricultural Society and a group of volunteers, has worked to restore the pathway to Lian Island Sandbar, providing everyone with a safer access route.
The Yi Au Agricultural Society is a registered cooperative dedicated to promoting re-cultivation programs and eco-friendly activities in the community. They have been providing re-cultivation work for the over 200-year-old Yi Au Village. We hope everyone will pay more attention to local conservation efforts and strive to protect Hong Kong’s environment.

【義工活動】之前滂沱大雨，而二澳農社唯一出入道路被沖毁，現招義工一同幫忙重新建設道路！
【1/7/2024 二澳 重修道路義工服務】
10:30 大澳集合乘船過二澳
11:30 於二澳農舍午膳(免費招待)及參觀農舍
12:30 整裝預備出發
13:00-1530 修葺兩個路段（主要是搬石，砌石）見下圖
1530-1600 回二澳農舍
1630 於二澳乘船回大澳
＊人手大約需要6-8人

[Volunteer Activity] Due to the heavy rain, the only access road to Yi Au Agricultural Society has been washed away. We are now seeking volunteers to help reconstruct the road!
[Road Reconstruction Volunteer Service on January 7, 2024, at Yi Au]
- 10:30 AM: Gather at Tai O and take a boat to Yi Au.
- 11:30 AM: Lunch at Yi Au Farmhouse (complimentary) and a tour of the farmhouse.
- 12:30 PM: Get ready to depart.
- 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Repair two sections of the road (mainly moving and building stones), as shown in the image below.
- 3:30 PM – 4:00 PM: Return to Yi Au Farmhouse.
- 4:30 PM: Take a boat back to Tai O.
We need approximately 6-8 volunteers.

《你是你本身的傳奇》 You Are Your Own Legend
6月1日第一屆我的共融社區兒童青少年繪畫比賽頒獎禮我地邀請到Sharon 蔡樂詩 為我們一眾小小得獎者演唱《你是你本身的傳奇》。
Sharon自小患有視網膜退化，但視力的限制無阻她用心探索這個世界。上天賜給她一把美妙的聲音，令Sharon可以用歌聲唱出她的心聲。Sharon非常珍惜每一次和大家分享及唱歌的機會，當日她為大家帶來一首歌《你是你本身的傳奇》，寄意希望大家都有自己的夢想，並為夢想振翅高飛，為你的生命畫出一幅屬於你自己獨特的圖畫。
On June 1st, at the first My Inclusive Community Children and Youth Painting Competition award ceremony, we invited Sharon Choi Lok-si to perform “You Are Your Own Legend” for our young winners.
Sharon has been living with retinal degeneration since childhood, but her visual limitations have not stopped her from exploring the world with passion. Blessed with a beautiful voice, Sharon uses her singing to express her feelings. She cherishes every opportunity to share and sing with everyone. That day, she brought us the song “You Are Your Own Legend,” conveying the hope that everyone should pursue their dreams and soar high, painting a unique picture of their own lives.

The award ceremony of the first “My Inclusive Community” Children and Youth Painting Competition, co-organized by the Wo Yung Society Foundation, and the Asian Culture and Arts Office, came to a successful conclusion on June 1. Thank you all for your attendance and support.

The event is in partnership with the Asia Arts and Culture Office, with support from Million Master, More Color, Kickstart Hong Kong and the Art Museum Venue. We sincerely thank all of these organizations for their help in our collective efforts to create an inclusive society.

Recently, Chairman Andrew and Vice Chair Echo, along with Tracy, the Chair of the Asia Arts and Culture Office, judged the “My Inclusive Community” painting competition. All the participants put in great effort into their artworks, and we look forward to the award ceremony on June 1st!
種族多元共融運動日 Racial Diversity and Inclusion Sports Day
早前一同與會員出席支持由平機會舉辦的「種族多元共融運動日」，見現場各健兒都好熱血，原來閃避球都可以那麼刺激
Recently, we attended the “Racial Diversity and Inclusion Sports Day” organized by the Equal Opportunities Commission, along with our members. It was inspiring to see the enthusiasm of all the participants. It turns out that dodgeball can be so exciting and inclusive, bringing together people from different backgrounds to create a more inclusive society!

健康灣仔智慧社區 Healthy Wan Chai Smart Community

現場超過100位社區人士，活動並邀請心臟科黎醫生分享冠心病的預防，希望提高社會健康意識
The “Healthy Wan Chai Smart Community” event, co-organized by the Wo Yung Society Foundation, drew over 100 community members. The event featured a presentation by cardiologist Dr. Lee, who shared insights on the prevention of coronary heart disease, aiming to raise health awareness in the community.

早前天氣速轉冷，和融社會基金(屯門區) 聯合屯門富新關愛隊及時預備好一些暖腳的鞋墊，派給有需要的長者
Recently, as the weather turned cold quickly, Wo Yung Society Foundation (Tuen Mun District) collaborated with the Tuen Mun Fook Sun Care Team to prepare warm insoles for distribution to elderly individuals in need.

1,000 Mooncakes for the Elderly”
Sponsored primarily by the Chinese Prosperity Education Foundation and fully supported by the Wo Yung Society Foundation, over 1,000 mooncakes were distributed at various elderly service centers across Hong Kong, Kowloon, and the New Territories during the Mid-Autumn Festival. A group of volunteers visited one of the elderly centers to chat, play games, and help the elderly stretch their muscles.

國際不再恐同日 International Day Against Homophobia
今日（5月17日）是國際不再恐同日，選擇了今天是1990年的今日世界衛生組織將同性戀從國際疾病與相關健康問題統計分類中刪除，同性戀的非病理化在這天受到國際組織的承認！
「國際不再恐同日」的目的是使其他人可以知道同志可以健康和快樂生活，不會對別人的生活構成影響，從而令人不再恐懼同志。
Today (May 17) is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. This date was chosen because, on May 17, 1990, the World Health Organization removed homosexuality from its International Classification of Diseases. The de-pathologization of homosexuality was recognized by international organizations on this day!
The purpose of the “International Day Against Homophobia” is to raise awareness that LGBTQ+ individuals can live healthy and happy lives without impacting the lives of others, thereby alleviating fears about the LGBTQ+ community.

Hosted by the Youth Promotion Association of Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, and co-organized by the Wo Yung Society Foundation, the event “Joyful Fusion Limited” brings together cultural exchanges from Yunnan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan for the enjoyment of the public!
The event also received the presence of the Chief Secretary, who officiated at the opening ceremony of the Hello Hong Kong event

翻新地磚服務計劃 Tile Renovation Service Project
一些上了年紀的人士因為缺乏經濟支援或者居住環境/ 身體問題，導致無法更換破損或者殘舊不堪的地磚。和融基金與輕裝小姐舉辦「翻新地磚服務計劃」聯同香港傷健協會，為有需要人士提供免費地板安裝服務，希望可以為他們重拾「家」的感覺，如果你身邊有長者或需要以上協助！
服務對象：長者或有需要人士
費用： 全免（包括材料費及師傅人工）
施工日期：七月至九月
名額：20位 （每位約300尺）
如有興趣成為義工，歡迎聯絡和融社會基金為社區出一分力
Some elderly individuals, due to a lack of financial support or issues related to their living environment and health, are unable to replace damaged or worn-out floor tiles. The Wo Yung Society Foundation, in collaboration with Miss Lightening and the Hong Kong Association of the Disabled, is launching the “Tile Renovation Service Project” to provide free flooring installation services for those in need. We hope to help them regain the feeling of “home.”
Target Audience: Elderly individuals or those in need
Cost: Free (including materials and labor)
Construction Period: July to September
Slots Available: 20 (approximately 300 square feet per person)
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact the Harmonious Social Foundation to contribute to the community!

Earlier,The Wo Yung Society Foundation, together with Youth Connection, the Causeway Bay Advancement Association, and various community associations in the Wan Chai District of Hong Kong, successfully held the Board Game Day!
Families attended the event, and the children were very excited to play. Besides having fun, they also learned about global warming issues and how to help little penguins and Polar Bear
